Junk removal

Junk Removal & Cleanouts

One call and it's gone. Our crew does the lifting, loading, hauling and cleanup — from a single couch to an entire estate.

Davilla's is a family-run junk removal and cleanout company serving Philadelphia and Bucks, Delaware & Montgomery counties, PA. For fifteen years we have been clearing out basements, garages, attics, rental units and whole properties. We are licensed and fully insured (NJ Home Improvement Contractor 13VH13886000), we bring our own trucks and roll-off dumpsters, and we do the labor ourselves instead of subcontracting it out.

Most people call us because a job got bigger than a few trips to the curb. A parent moved into assisted living and the house has forty years of belongings in it. A tenant left behind furniture. A basement flooded and everything down there has to go. Whatever it is, you point at what needs to leave and we carry it out — you do not have to drag anything to the driveway first.

What we take

  • Couches, mattresses, dressers and other furniture
  • Refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and water heaters
  • Hot tubs, sheds, swing sets and above-ground pool liners
  • Construction and remodeling debris
  • Yard waste, branches and fence sections
  • Full estate, hoarder, garage, basement and attic cleanouts

What we can't take

Transfer stations will not accept hazardous material, so neither can we:

  • Paint, solvents, motor oil and wet chemicals
  • Asbestos and anything containing it
  • Propane tanks and other pressurized cylinders
  • Medical, biological or radioactive waste

Your township usually runs a household hazardous waste drop-off day for these items. Send us a photo if you are not sure and we will tell you straight.

How pricing works

Junk removal is priced by volume — how much space your items take up in the truck — not by the hour, so a slow flight of stairs never costs you more. We look at the pile, give you a firm number on the spot, and only start loading once you say go. Estimates are free and there is no charge for showing up.

Dump fees, fuel, labor and cleanup are all included in that number. If a job is large enough that a roll-off container makes more sense than a truckload, we will say so and quote you a dumpster rental from $525 instead — whichever is cheaper for you. Same-day service is available when the schedule allows, usually if you call before noon.

What we handle

Estate Cleanouts

Whole-house clearing after a death, a move to assisted living or a sale. We work at the family's pace, set aside anything you want kept, and can coordinate donation pickups for furniture and household goods in good condition.

Garage & Basement Cleanouts

Decades of boxes, paint cans, old exercise equipment and broken shelving. We handle tight bulkhead stairs and narrow single-car garages, and we broom the slab before we leave so you can actually park in there again.

Furniture & Appliance Removal

Sectionals, mattresses, pianos, refrigerators and washers taken out without scraping your doorframes. Appliances get drained and scrapped properly rather than dumped.

Construction Debris Removal

Drywall, lumber, tile, cabinets, roofing tear-off and plaster from a remodel. We work with contractors on repeat schedules and can leave a container on site instead.

Hoarding Cleanouts

Handled discreetly, without judgment, in unmarked-friendly fashion where possible. We sort carefully for documents, photos and valuables and can spread the work across several days.

Where it ends up

We donate what a charity will take, scrap the metal, recycle clean wood and cardboard, and only the remainder goes to a licensed transfer station.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does junk removal cost?
Junk removal is priced by the volume your items take up in the truck, not by the hour. Small single-item pickups start low and a full truckload costs more. We give a firm price on site before we load anything, and the estimate is free.
Do I have to move everything outside first?
No. Our crew carries items out of the basement, attic, garage or upstairs bedroom. You only need to point at what goes.
Can you come the same day?
Often yes for Philadelphia-area addresses if you call before noon. Otherwise we usually have next-day availability, depending on the route.
What will you not take?
We cannot take hazardous waste — paint, solvents, motor oil, propane tanks, asbestos, medical waste or wet chemicals. If you are unsure, send a photo and we will tell you before we schedule.
What happens to my stuff after pickup?
Usable furniture and appliances go to donation where a charity will accept them, metal goes to a scrap yard, and clean wood and cardboard get recycled. The rest goes to a licensed transfer station.
Do you handle full estate and hoarding cleanouts?
Yes. We do complete property cleanouts including estates, hoarding situations and rental turnovers, and we can work room by room over several days if that is easier for the family.
