Selective vs full teardown
Selective demolition is surgical: we take out only what is coming out — a wall, a kitchen, a rotted porch — while protecting the finishes, stairs and floors that stay. That means floor protection, dust control and cutting rather than swinging. Most remodel prep work falls here.
Full demolition takes a structure down completely — a shed, a detached garage, an addition — and finishes with a clean, graded footprint. Either way we confirm utility disconnects first and work to the township's inspection schedule.
Permits: most nearby towns require a demolition permit for detached structures and documented gas, water and electric disconnects. We handle the paperwork as your licensed contractor so you are not chasing a clerk on your lunch break.
Why we're different: we own the dumpsters
Most demo crews tear it out and leave. We run our own roll-off containers and trucks, so the debris is loaded and gone the same visit — no second vendor, no waiting week with a pile in the driveway, and one price for the whole job instead of two invoices. If a job needs a container left on site, that is a dumpster rental from $525, quoted together with the demo.
The crew is in-house — ten people who work for us, not day labor rotated in per job. That is what keeps the schedule honest and the site clean.

Common questions
- Are you licensed and insured for demolition?
- Yes. We hold NJ Home Improvement Contractor license 13VH13886000 and carry full liability insurance. We can send a certificate of insurance to you, your township or your HOA before we start.
- Do I need a permit to demolish a shed, deck or garage?
- Most local townships require a demolition permit for a detached structure, and utility disconnects have to be documented first. We tell you what your town needs and can pull the permit as your contractor.
- Who hauls away the debris?
- We do, with our own roll-off dumpsters and trucks. That is the main reason people hire us over a demo-only crew — you are not left with a pile in the yard waiting on a second company.
- What is selective versus full demolition?
- Selective demolition removes only certain parts — a wall, a kitchen, a bathroom, a rotted deck — while everything around it stays intact and protected. Full demolition takes the whole structure down to the slab or grade.
- Can you demolish just a kitchen or bathroom before my remodel?
- Yes, that is one of our most common jobs. We gut cabinets, tile, flooring, plaster and fixtures, protect the surrounding floors and stairs, and leave the space ready for the trades.
- Do you remove above-ground pools and hot tubs?
- Yes — above-ground pools, hot tubs, sheds, fences, concrete pads and playsets, including backfill and grading of the footprint where needed.
